As they are both Saturdays, and I'm *SUPPOSEDLY* off Saturdays, either is
good with me.
I should also be able to help with set-up/tear-down as I always do, unless
they mess with my schedule.

Also, for what it's worth......
If I could say my two cents of the whole situation.
...Mach, you've 'rented' this Elk's hall for the last ??? years, assisting
them with costs to be able to keep the place for their normal membership,
right?

...They have never had a major issue with the group causing them to not want
to rent to you again, over the years, right?

...They've known about this "Once every 4 years event" was going to happen
this year.... FOUR years ago, right?

...Well, if they KNEW this "ELK" event was going to happen this year, and
they KNEW that 'your' group generated revenue for the lodge to help keep it
open for it's membership, and they KNEW that it would clash on the same
weekend.... WHY didn't they tell their membership that they would be
changing the dates of the ELK event to allow for an event that would
generate income for the lodge to help keep it open?

Sorry, but in MY book, it would be easier to mail out a flyer to all the
LOCAL members of the lodge as to a date change of THEIR event.
AND it would generate funds that would help me keep my meeting hall open
into the future.
AND would diffur some expenses that I don't have to pay for (property tax,
power, etc..)

Maybe this is harsh, but it just seems, to me, that it would be to their
best interest to move THEIR event, and cater to yours.

I mean no disrespect to anyone, and if I have hurt anyone's feelings, I am
sorry, but this just seems the logical choice.
