I've gotten a couple of suggestions for hotels. Thats not a bad thing.
I'd not mind it. I'm trying to find a location thats a bit more intimate
though. I really loved the Elk's lodge for that reason. Carmie's place
is awesome and fun, but I'd not want to impose for one, and for another,
I'd like a place with an indoor space big enough for everyone. The
costumes get a little warm when your dancing outside.

And, I HATE having to deal with hotel noise complaints. Seems like no
matter what you do, or how much preparation you have, your dance always
gets complaints, even when all parties KNOW there's a dance and what to
expect. But if they can handle us, and I can get agreement to let us go
late, then we should be set.

And I don't mind a catering contract. We have one now. I was actually
planning on expanding on that a bit this year anyway.

So I'm getting a vibe here that folks would rather keep the date the
same and change the venue right?

There's also another Elk's lodge in the area that I didn't use before
because catering was an issue, since it's no longer an issue I'm going
to look at that one as well. (NO, not the broken down old ugly one we
had that one year that was scary and not fun.)
