Well technically speaking.. conventions have panels, and are a more serious
form of a large group of members coming together to meet and assemble. It's
more formal, whereas this is just a party gathering moreso 'intended' for
the Florida locals reguardless of outside advertisement.

I can't say whether it could turn into a convention. Because it possibly
could, BUT.. That would be under the discretion of the chairman. I still
think of it as a large party than a convention. There honestly shouldn't be
any kind of argument considering the two definitions are so close.

Party - **

   1. A social gathering especially for pleasure or amusement: *a
   cocktail party. *
   2. A group of people who have gathered to participate in an activity.

Convention -**

A formal meeting of members, representatives, or delegates, as of a
political party, fraternal society, profession, or industry.
Or A meeting or formal assembly, as of representatives or delegates, for
discussion of and action on particular matters of common concern.

It also goes to say that a convention usually suggests a meeting of
delegates representing political, church, social, or fraternal
organizations. This means that conventions are held to express the
'lifestyle' of the furry fandom and for people to give their
representation. I really don't think Elliot's party has fallen over into
that boundary yet.. it's just a big 'activity' for fun. This falls under
"Party'.
