You also have to take into account that the gaming industry updates
the graphics about every 6 years or so. So spending 600 on video card
isn't all that bad in todays market. It's going to last, until the
gaming industry can catch up to it. So if you have a card that last
you 6 years or more and plays the lastest game at decent frame rates,
then you got your moneys worth for it. So right now it might be
overkill now, but in years to come it won't be.
