[Flafurs] Elliott's Royal Art Competition

[His Majesty, King Elliott Ingonyama the First]

His Majesty Elliott Ingonyama the First wishes to announce his first  
Royal Art Competition. Like the Medici Families before him, King  
Elliott has chosen to support creation of art for the Furry Community.

This competition is open to all who wish to submit art in one of two  
categories: portraits of Elliott and general Furry Art. In addition,  
artists who attend Elliott's Winter Carnival may choose to enter an  
additional category for art done at this event.

Entries will be judged by a panel of artists and the winners in both  
advance submission categories will receive a Wacom Intuos3 6x8  
Graphics Tablet (see: http://www.wacom.com/intuos/6x8.cfm for more  
information). Other prizes will include sets of Prismacolor pencils or  
Copic markers. The judges will also choose the top submissions (from  
3-10 entries depending on the number of submissions in each category)  
which will be displayed at Elliott's Winter Carnival for judging by  
event guests. All three categories will have a people's choice winner,  
selected by guests at Elliott's Winter Carnival.

Entries for the two advance submission categories must received by  
Wednesday, 9 January, 2008. All submissions must be G-rated, original  
works for which the submitter holds the copyright.  Decisions of the  
judges are final.

This is the first of four competitions this year (one at each event).  
It is expected that the winners from each quarterly event will compete  
against each other for a grand prize.
